Process

A clear process from first enquiry to launch

How a website project moves forward, from the first enquiry through planning, build, testing, your approval and launch.

One person responsible for the work

I handle the strategy, writing, design and build. The process makes room for planning, testing and your approval, rather than treating launch as the moment the pages look finished.

1. Project enquiry

Tell me about your business, services, current website and main challenge. Include your booking or quote needs and preferred timing. I review the enquiry for fit. If you prefer to talk first, request a free discovery call and share your preferred times. The call is confirmed by email, not instantly.

2. Discovery and scope

I look at what the website needs to explain and how customers should take the next step. That may be a call, enquiry, quote request or booking. I recommend a build path and define the proposed pages, functionality and integrations, then quote the project against that scope.

3. Strategy, structure and writing

I plan the page structure, service presentation and customer journey, then write the copy around your confirmed business facts. Local visibility foundations are part of that planning. Service and location information should be clear and useful, not repeated across unnecessary city pages.

4. Design and build

I turn the structure and content into the website, then implement the agreed booking, quote or enquiry flow. The platform choice follows the requirements. I build for use across phone, tablet and desktop, with attention to navigation, readable content and form labels.

5. Quality checks

Before launch, I check key pages, links, forms and customer enquiry paths. That includes mobile layouts, keyboard access, form validation and useful submission messages. I also check technical SEO foundations and front-end loading, then test critical journeys across browsers. A submitted call request must never appear to be a confirmed appointment.

6. Review and approval

I take the website through your review, work through feedback and seek your approval before launch. That review covers the content, service information and agreed customer journey, not just how the pages look.

7. Launch

I handle launch carefully, including the production domain, HTTPS and final live-site checks. Search Console verification and analytics testing happen against the production site where applicable.

8. Maintain and grow

I discuss post-launch support as part of the project scope. For ongoing continuity, Website Care is available as an optional monthly service with a scope agreed before it begins.

Start with a practical brief

Use the project enquiry to explain what your business does, what is not working and what you want the website to help customers do.
